Yvonne Koné

Scandinavians doing it again!
Yvonne Koné produce exclusive lamb and calfskin bags. The collections reflect a handmade craftsmanship. The leather is so beautiful and the big bags are exactly my style! I've been trying to find a big leather black bag for ages, love this one!
How amazing are these bracelets as well, so funky! I think its time to try a DYI in the tool shed!

touched inappropriately

Whilst browsing my bloglovin new posts, I saw this beautiful children's suit... How gorgeous it is!!
After clicking into the link and reading on about the design, turns out the suit is designed to sound an alarm and light up when the suit/the child is inappropriately touched in the wrong places for too long :0

Titled 'Safe Cuddle' by london based designer Helge Fischer

MBFF emerging designers

I've been keeping track of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival in Brisbane at the moment, of course there's the regular Australian stars such as Scanlan & Theodore, Akira, Bettina Liano, Easton Pearson, Frock Shop, Lisa Ho, White Sands and so many more.
As great as the regulars are I am always interested in the student graduate collections......
Tuesday night was the 'Nando's Australian Fashion Graduate of the Year Award' where they announced the winner who won $5000 while also getting awesome exposure!

His collection labeled 'Dorian; a graphic novel'

David Jones Preview

After 28 months of redevelopment the Melbourne flagship store is finally ready for viewing. Last night I attended the exclusive cardmember preview for the David Jones' new refurbished city store. After picking up our glass of bubbly we tried to absorb our surroundings without getting caught up in all the stores elegantly displayed consumer goods.

The fit out is inspired by department stores like London's Selfridges and New York's Bloomingdale's. The store has an emphasis on providing a branded service experience by separating the brands into separate areas allowing "the brands to represent themselves as how they see themselves".(said new DJ CEO: Paul Zahra) The technique is really effective, especially on the first floor in the bag area.... it felt like you were stepping into a dream, surrounded by luxury mini stores eg. marc jacobs, dior, LV, miu miu, mimco, coach, burberry... so many choices on where to look!

I was really happy to see that they kept some aspects of the old David Jones, such as the beautiful lifts and the golden light pendants on the first level. While also jazzing the space up with new flower pendants branching down the void beside the central escalators.

Favorite section of David Jones was and will always be the womens designer section of Level 1..... sass and bide, zimmerman, life with bird, ksubi, bec and bridge and heaps more..... I am in need of a huge shopping spree!!

The official grand opening is tomorrow night (thursday 12th)! The red carpet party then Megan Gale, David Jones corporate ambassador will open to doors to shoppers friday (13th) morning! Everybody must go check it out!!

Nicole Trunfio

Aus model Nicole Trunfio's new jewelry line.
The photoshoot's aim was to accentuate the feminine spirit through the natural setting but in my opinion has come across a bit to sexy, especially in the campaign video.
However the line is really interesting incorporating goddess like statement pieces which can spice up any outfit. Check out was she has to say about her collection on thevine
She also has a T-shirt line on its way too!

At first i didn't recognize her....
Front and center at DJ launch, stepping in for Miranda Kerr.
